Fresh Pork Sandwiches
They set the pork sandwiches right on top of the roasted pig just so there's no question where the meat came from.

Coca Tea
Coca tea is made from the leaves of the coca plant...the source for cocaine. In fact, we drank gallons of coca tea without affect. We chewed on leaves, ate coca granola, nada. The only thing that had a mouth numbing effect was some coca candy I bought when leaving the country.

Brown Agouti
I originally thought this was a capybara, because they told me agoutis were not found around the Sandoval Lake. But looking at photos of the two species, this is definitely a brown agouti, not capybara.

Pepe the Macaw
This is my Peruvian boyfriend, Pepe. He crawled into bed with me one afternoon when I was taking a nap. After that terrifying experience, we were mates.
