In Shanghai

Dan and Gianna are on their flight to Newark and I am in Pudong, getting a presentation ready for work tomorrow. In contrast to Vietnam, Shanghai is COLD! We arrived yesterday to sleet and high winds. So, we did a little shopping and saw the Shanghai museum in the morning, and then pretty much slept and watched Chinese TV all afternoon and evening.

Sun

Yesterday the rain stopped around lunch time and we had a sunny afternoon at the beach. Today--more sun! This morning's agenda: trip to the mudbaths, ruins, and marketplace, then more beach. This vacation is going by too fast!

Nha Trang rain

Yesterday was mostly cloudy, today mostly rainy. This is the beach at Vinpearl, where we spent most of the day enjoying the water park and amusement park between showers.

Forecast: cyclone

An aptly named "tropical depression" is forecast to hit Vietnam Sunday through Monday. So, rainy start to the vacation (?)

Vacation reminder

This morning Outlook alerted me "vacation: due in 48 hrs". Why do I set these reminders? I set the appointment so that people at work won't try to schedule meetings with me, but why the 48 hr. reminder? Just in case vacation slips my mind, I have 48 hrs. to quick do some laundry, pack, and get to the airport.
